about

"Honest Wages" is the last recording done under the HALO Vessel name, and the companion piece to "Honest Men". In "Honest Wages" another change in style and attitude is evident. Some of the songs are just as sonic and noisy as the pieces in "Honest Men", but this time around, the compositions take on a more melodic tinge than its aggressive predecessor. "I Blow Up" and "A Wave Table of Invasions" represent the angrier and sonic side of HALO Vessel, while songs like "The Numeric Mall" and "A Woman of Letters" exhibit complex rhythms and an almost ambient quality. Even with only 4 songs, the varied approaches to the compositions are enough to satisfy a full length appetite.
