about

Made up of material originally recorded in 1998 and 1999, Mujeriego stands out as a unique addition to the HALO Vessel discography. In Mujeriego, Matus puts his spin on danceable music with three distinct dance tracks. As much as he tries to adhere to the dance formula, Matus just can't help getting weird. As evidence is the middle section of the title track which sounds like a psychedelic fever dream in which Herbie Hancock rubs elbows with Kraftwerk at a Quince celebration. Or the stuttering and bouncing percussion of "See Through", and the warping pitch for the intro and outro to "MLC".
